Normal Anxiety Vs An Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety is a normal mental and physical reaction in response to fear of a threat, or something going wrong in the future. This is also known as the "Fight or Flight" response.

What Is Normal Anxiety?
Normal anxiety is helpful because it protects us against danger and focuses our attention on potential problems or issues.
Most of us are anxious about certain situations, such as being in debt or beginning a new job. These feelings should go away.

What Is An Anxiety Disorder?
If you are struggling with an Anxiety Disorder, your "Flight or Fight" response is more difficult to control and is triggered too easily. It is often switched on even when there is no real threat to you.
For those whose anxiety remains in the "Flight or Fight" response for longer than it should means your anxiety has become a disorder.
Luckily, while anxiety disorders can pose enormous challenges in a person's life, they are disorders that are eminently treatable. With proper care and therapy people who have anxiety disorders are able to lead productive, happy lives.

What Is The Cycle Of Anxiety
Your Anxiety disorder is getting worse because you are trapped in the "Cycle Of Anxiety".
As we know, having severe anxiety or anxiety attacks is a horrible experience. In order not to have to go through these uncomfortable symptoms we start to try avoid the situations that causes these feelings.
When we manage to avoid them, we get a short term feeling of relief. Your Anxiety gradually worsens as you understand avoidance is a good thing and therefore you become more anxious to make sure you do everything you can avoid it. The cycle continues.
